THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who can lead technical delivery, mentor junior engineers and drive best-in-class engineering standards. You’ll take ownership of full electrical design delivery across projects of all sizes while collaborating closely with other disciplines.
• Lead and manage end-to-end Electrical Design for projects of varying scale, ensuring excellent client service.
• Oversee quality control for electrical engineering outputs across multiple teams.
• Manage project costs and contribute to overall financial performance.
• Coordinate and support both project teams and cross-functional groups.
• Travel to client sites and project locations for meetings, surveys and training as needed.
• Collaborate with other offices and teams to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years’ experience in Building Services Consultancy design.
• Proven ability to deliver detailed designs through the full design cycle.
• Advanced user of Amtech and Relux/Dialux.
• BIM experience advantageous.
• Chartership desirable.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Strong theoretical and practical grounding in electrical engineering, with a good understanding of related building services disciplines.
• Expertise in the following areas: Lighting and Emergency Lighting, Small Power and Data, Fire Alarms, CCTV and Intruder Systems, MV/LV Power Distribution, Containment and BMS.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once, prioritising effectively.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design and installation.
• High attention to detail and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Capable of leading projects internally and externally, ensuring client satisfaction, profitability and repeat business.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to make prompt, informed decisions.
• Strong commercial awareness.
