Job Description
* Lead the buying strategies for mainline wholesale and retail to source and develop commercial product assortment and meeting the customer requirements.
* Ensure margin targets are achieved and provide strategic vision.
* Manage path planning process, ensuring delivery from concept to in store launch.
* Analyse sales, margin and supply chain data.
* Elevated decision maker and trusted problem solver for the department with the ability to make decisions with consideration of the wider impact.
* Extensive product knowledge.
* Manage agenda for monthly meetings with Brand Owner.
* Lead on product development and planning for projects.
* Present seasonal buy to senior leadership.
* Maintain and enhance supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
* Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
* Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Provide regular reports on procurement activities and cost efficiencies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
* At least 3 years proven background in Buying, preferably within the fashion or retail industries.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
* Knowledge of market trends and cost-saving strategies.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
* Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and ethics.
