We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants (TA / LSA) to work in a range of specialist SEN schools across Essex. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference every single day
About the Role
As a TA / LSA, you will:
✨ Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
Support students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, MLD and communication needs
Assist with personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
Work closely with class teachers and wider multidisciplinary teams
Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence
Support pupils in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum
Some roles may involve personal care support and assisting pupils with sensory or emotional needs.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
Have experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work or similar settings)
Are patient, resilient and adaptable
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Work well as part of a team
Are committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. Full training may be provided depending on the school.
