We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Hotel Pricing Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing pricing strategies that enhance profitability and competitiveness in the market. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The ideal candidate analyzes market trends, competitor pricing, and hotel data to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. Key responsibilities include monitoring market changes, forecasting demand, managing inventory across distribution channels, collaborating with sales and marketing, and providing reports with recommendations to hotel management. Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, along with knowledge of hotel systems and a degree in a relevant field, are essential for the role
Key Responsibilities
* Market Analysis:Conduct competitor benchmark studies, analyze market trends, and monitor local events to understand the competitive landscape and demand fluctuations.
* Pricing Strategy Development:Create and implement dynamic pricing strategies for various hotel products and channels, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial objectives.
* Revenue Forecasting:Provide accurate weekly and monthly dynamic forecasts of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.
* Inventory Management:Balance room availability across different distribution channels, including the hotel's website, third-party OTAs, and GDSs, to prevent overbooking or underutilization.
* Data Analysis:Analyze booking data, occupancy rates, and historical performance to predict future demand and identify revenue opportunities.
* Reporting and Collaboration:Compile reports summarizing hotel performance and present findings to management, while also collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
* System Management:Ensure that all related revenue management systems are correctly configured, validated, and utilized to their full capacity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Analytical and Quantitative Skills:Strong ability to analyze large datasets, interpret financial information, and perform quantitative analysis.
* Technical Skills:Proficiency with data analysis programs, pricing software, and hotel management systems.
* Industry Knowledge:A solid understanding of the hotel market, pricing strategies, and revenue management principles.
* Communication Skills:Excellent ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at various levels.
* Collaboration:Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Educational Background: A Masters's degree in human resource, economics, finance, statistics, or a related field.
