We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Senior Site Engineer, Site based at Wanlip STW (Leicester). You will report directly to the Site Manager and your role will be to lead an existing team of Site/Setting Out Engineers that provide setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in an entirely safe manner, whilst maintaining appropriate site records.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with the Company safe working practices.
* Assist in the preparation of construction programmes, preparation of Method Statements, Action Plans and Risk Assessments.
* Ensure Setting out the works is done to correct standards by yourself & the site team.
* Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
* Agreement of site measurements and records with the client’s staff as required.
* Assist in maintaining drawing files, drawing register and site filing system.
* Liaise with the design department to ensure updated information is always used.
* Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions.
* Assist in the preparation of the construction completion documentation.
* Ensure that the works are constructed to a good quality in line with the specification and good working practice.
* Ensure that the required quality records are maintained.
* In conjunction with other site staff ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, the company health & safety policy, procedures and safe working practices.
* Ensure good, honest and open lines of communication are established.
* It is vitally important that Site Engineers lead by example in terms of safety behaviours.
About You – Essential
* Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic levels).
Desirable
* First Aid at Work qualification.
* SSSTS.
* CSCS Supervision card.
* EUSR SHEA Water.
* BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction (minimum).
* Experience on water & waste water sites.
