ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role as Kitchen Assistant involves supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of meals and beverages, delivering high-quality service to residents.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Understanding safe food handling principles to maintain high hygiene standards during food preparation.
* Contributing fully to team work, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly following work instructions.
* Advising on the supply and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
* Respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident when acting towards residents and visitors.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability in all you do.
Our ideal candidate must:
* Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
* Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
* Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and able to handle a demanding workload.
* Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team work.
* Display a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
