We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in York as a Safeguarding and Partnership Lead, earning up to £31,000 annually. This is a full-time position, offering 35 hours per week, where you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. What you will do:

- Act as the hospital safeguarding champion, promoting a culture of openness and accountability in safeguarding practices.

- Provide the Hospital Leadership Team with specialist advice on regulatory matters and patient safety concerning safeguarding issues.

- Serve as the point of contact for all external safeguarding partners, ensuring effective resolution of issues.

- Attend multi-agency safeguarding meetings and contribute to case reviews as directed by the Registered Manager.

- Monitor safeguarding activity, producing regular reports for the Hospital Leadership Team.

- Work closely with the Hospital Leadership Team to implement learning from safeguarding reviews.

- Oversee and deliver local safeguarding information sessions within the hospital.

- Collaborate with external agencies to develop discharge packages from admission.

- Act as the family liaison lead to facilitate communication with family members and advocates of our patients.

- Engage in travel as needed to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

- Execute any additional duties that may be required.


About you:

We're looking for someone with recognised safeguarding training at Level 4 or above and evidence of ongoing professional development in relevant fields. You should have deep knowledge of safeguarding legislation and strong experience in managing sensitive safeguarding matters, particularly within a healthcare setting.
