With a strong pipeline of current and future work, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong background in three waters infrastructure design, based in our Christchurch office.
You will be an experienced and competent Senior Engineer, experienced and passionate about wastewater, stormwater and water supply infrastructure, with an innovative and solutions focused mindset, wanting to be involved in a large variety of significant three waters infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Infrastructure master planning for future and existing neighbourhood
Lead design, modelling and reporting for wastewater, stormwater and water infrastructure projects.
Prepare capacity assessments and provide infrastructure upgrade recommendations
Peer review of infrastructure design solutions and reporting for consent applications and construction.
Projects include piped networks, pump stations, water quality treatment devices, attenuation and flood modelling.
About you:
BE (Civil) or equivalent with 8+ years’ of New Zealand experience in Three Waters Engineering.
Current Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand is advantageous but not essential
Strong technical design skills across stormwater, wastewater, and water supply.
Proficient with 12d, Civil3D, AutoCAD and HEC-HMS, HEC-RES, EPA Net and GIS software packages would be advantageous
Comprehensive understanding of various local authority design standards, the Resource Management Act, relevant District Plans and environmental standards.
A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support and mentor others
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experienced with Public sector infrastructure
