Overview
We are recruiting for 1 x band 6 Perminant Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work within Children's Speech and Language Therapy in Knowsley Community Paediatric Service.
You will be responsible for ensuring service users' needs are met through delivery of high quality care, working collaboratively in variety of settings including patients homes, schools, nurseries, children's centres & clinics.
You will be supported to provide assessment & appropriate interventions in the management of paediatric conditions, offering a range of 1:1 & group based interventions, training and programmes of care.
Caseloads are likely to include children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
Access regular 1:1 and group supervision and. You will be supported to develop your skills in offering supervision and have involvement in supervision of students.

Main duties
* Undertake assessment in a variety of clinical settings. Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the evidence base and a range of treatment options to formulate individualised and holistic treatment programmes within the parameters of the service.
* A duty to evaluate patient progress, reassess and alter treatment programmes seeking support from senior colleagues within the team.
* Demonstrate flexibility to respond to the needs of the service and be responsible for a designated area of work. Plan and organise efficiently and effectively your patient/client caseload and non patient responsibilities.
* The post holder will contribute to the continuing professional development within the team accessing learning opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
* You will be required to participate in the annual Personal Achievement Contribution Evaluation (PACE).
