My market:leading client is seeking a motivated Sustainability Consultant to join their growing Manchester studio. This is an excellent opportunity for a sustainability professional looking to develop their career within a global design practice delivering high:profile, interdisciplinary projects. You will support the delivery of sustainability strategies across a diverse range of sectors including workplace, healthcare, education, sport, leisure, and residential. Working alongside senior consultants and design teams, you will play a key role in delivering practical, measurable sustainability outcomes across projects. Day:to:Day
Responsibilities
* Support the development and delivery of sustainability strategies across projects
* Assist in conducting environmental and building performance assessments
* Contribute to sustainability reporting and performance monitoring
* Work closely with architects, engineers and project teams to embed sustainability principles into designs
* Support senior consultants with client presentations and workshops
* Participate in CPD, training, and mentoring opportunities
* Assist in the delivery of BREEAM assessments
* Support net zero carbon strategies and whole life carbon assessments
* Contribute to environmental certifications such as LEED, WELL, Ska or NABERS
* Use tools such as One Click LCA to support life cycle impact assessments
* Assist with ESG reporting and sustainability benchmarking
* Support ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 aligned operational sustainability initiatives
* Keep up to date with relevant environmental legislation and emerging industry standards
Qualifications And Experience
* 1:4 years experience in a built:environment sustainability consultancy role
Experience Supporting Environmental Assessments (BREEAM Preferred)
* Familiarity with tools such as One Click LCA, IES, or similar modelling software
* Understanding of UK building regulations and environmental policy
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
* Working towards relevant professional accreditation (e.g. BREEAM AP, WELL AP, IEMA) desirable
