Performance and Business Intelligence Manager (Business Analytics)
The Performance & Business Intelligence Team has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to join our team as Business Analytics Manager.
We are looking for a motivated, proactive self-driven individual who is ready and willing to make an impact in our small team.
We are a close-knit team and work very collaboratively with our colleagues throughout the organisation and beyond within the wider NHS. You must be passionate about delivering positive change, embrace problem-solving opportunities, and take pride in data quality.
You will be responsible for the production of performance reports, the development of new dashboards in Power BI, overseeing the maintenance and modification of existing ones, and creating and running SQL queries to provide data required by our operational team, managers, ICB, and NHSE.
Keen data analysis skills and a strong focus on quality will be very useful, as well as the ability to work to deadlines.

Main duties of the job
The overall purpose of the Performance and Business Intelligence Manager role is to identify and support performance improvement and sustainability by developing and managing robust performance management processes that provide the Organisation, its commissioners, and partners with assurance and business intelligence related to current and future performance.
This includes working with the Head of Performance and Business Intelligence to support the design of specific corporate projects and to develop our overall corporate assurance process, utilising organisational, interpersonal, and project management skills, as well as managing the testing and implementation of resulting systems.

Job responsibilities
The purpose of the Performance and Business Intelligence Manager role is to support performance improvement and sustainability by developing and managing performance management processes that provide the organisation, its commissioners, and partners with assurance and business intelligence related to current and future performance.
The manager aims to enable the organisation to gain a holistic understanding of performance, facilitate improved outcomes, and support growth through robust Business Intelligence.
This includes supporting the development and monitoring of the organisation's Performance Management Framework, including KPIs and CQUINS, and working with the Head of Performance and Business Intelligence on corporate projects and assurance processes. The role requires leadership, coordination, information analysis, time management, and the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
The role also demands agile and creative problem-solving as part of implementing the overarching Performance and Business Intelligence Strategy.

Experience
* Design and implementation of complex data models for Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
* Design and implementation of complex ETL/ELT processes for Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
* Experience in a supervisory role
* In-depth knowledge of NHS data and issues
* Visualization and report writing skills
* Significant experience in Performance management
* Experience of complex change management and delivering successful outcomes
* Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical colleagues to capture requirements
* Experience working in a Public Sector organisation such as the NHS, Social Services, or Local Authority
* Experience working with managers and staff at all levels
* Experience of report writing and producing business documents
* Experience working with senior leadership and non-executive layers
Qualifications
* Master's or Diploma level qualification with significant relevant experience
