Sloane Square Hotel is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations of our busy boutique hotel.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards, while leading a small maintenance team and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
Oversee the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety and statutory requirements
Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire alarm systems
Manage maintenance requests through Hotelkit and respond to urgent issues when required
Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back-of-house and plant rooms
Manage contractors and external service providers
Control maintenance costs, materials, and department budgets
Work closely with other departments to minimise disruption to guest experience
About You Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager / Engineering Manager role
Strong hands-on knowledge of general building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
Experience managing a small engineering or maintenance team
Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance
Organised, proactive and able to respond calmly to urgent issues
Hospitality or hotel experience is highly desirable.
