Front End Application Engineer

What You’ll Do
Provide design assistance, value engineering, and product/segment‑specific application support to the Eaton MVPD department, SCOs, KAMs, EPCs, and channel partners. Support safety precautions and calculations during FEED, quotation, and pre‑order stages, and lead larger, complex projects.
* Translate data center value chain requirements into solutions based on Eaton MVPD products.
* Drive technical quality and content of the quotation process, interpreting customer specifications for competitive solutions.
* Apply knowledge of MV switchgear and transformer design requirements and standards.
* Collaborate with electrical consultants, end users, and contractors to promote Eaton products.
* Build pipeline by engaging early designs on strategic accounts.
* Analyze current market requirements to drive product features and future development.
* Lead technical evaluation, feasibility, and execution of multiple projects in parallel.
* Analyze electrical/mechanical faults and recommend technical solutions.
* Advise on third‑party or special equipment materials.
* Write technical RFQs for non‑Eaton items and support SCM for compliant bids.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 3–5 years of experience in data centre domain or medium voltage power distribution.
Skills
* Deep technical knowledge of MV switchgear and transformers.
* Experience in MV equipment installation and commissioning.
* Strong calculation, studies, and manufacturing method skills.
* Commercial insight of projects.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work in an international, matrix‑based organisation.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).
* Leadership, creativity, customer‑centric approach.
* Multitasking and performance under pressure.
