The business has a turnover of circa £35 million and employs over 60 staff in a wide variety of roles.
Role Description
This is a full-time role as Health, Safety, and Compliance Lead at Aspatria Farmers Ltd. The role involves overseeing day-to-day health, safety, and compliance activities at the company's locations in Aspatria, Plumpton, and Longtown. The role will be based across our sites with the position based primarily in Aspatria.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the day to day running of Health and Safety management at all Aspatria Farmers sites.
* Work closely with key Line Managers and stakeholders on our sites and on farms.
* Implement, record and maintain company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Manage site procedures and standards for risk assessments, control and monitoring hazards, substances, work equipment, PPE and manual handling.
* Identify any hazards, investigate accidents, educate employees and take necessary actions to rectify problems.
* Drive a culture of continuous Health and Safety improvement and encourage a solutions focused approach at all times.
* Health and Safety inductions with new members of staff.
* Oversee company training matrix and ensure all team members are trained in line with the specific needs of their job role.
* Maintaining compliance with all other statutory requirements across the business
Person Requirements
* Experience in a previous Health and Safety role.
* NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent.
* Comfortable and confident coaching and influencing staff and managers on the importance of Health and Safety.
* Knowledge of keeping up to date with HSE standards.
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office including Teams.
* Self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £33,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
