Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for the inspection, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of heavy construction and industrial equipment. This position requires hands-on mechanical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
* Inspect and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy equipment (
* Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in the shop
* Interpret work orders, technical manuals, and schematics
* Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot equipment issues
* Maintain accurate service records and reports
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
* Collaborate with service advisors and parts personnel to ensure timely job completion
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment technician or diesel mechanic
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting
* Ability to operate diagnostic tools and software
* Must have your own tools
* Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
* Technical certification or trade school training
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
