Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kingston Upon Thames for a Business Development Manager focused on growing Mash Productions’ video offering.
The role centres on identifying and securing high-value opportunities (£10k+), targeting flagship organiser contracts (£40k–£50k), and owning the full commercial lifecycle from prospecting through to renewal.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving revenue growth across event organisers, agencies, and brands. The role requires close collaboration with internal production teams to develop commercially viable, high-impact video solutions tailored to client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
* Identify and secure new video production opportunities across events, exhibitions, and conferences
* Target large‑scale, multi‑day and multi‑stage event contracts
* Proactively source new leads and re‑engage lapsed clients
Sales Strategy & Execution
* Build and manage outbound sales campaigns and sequences in HubSpot
* Translate client objectives (audience growth, sponsorship value, content reach) into video‑led solutions
* Create tailored proposals including filming, editing, highlight videos, and social content packages
Account Management
* Manage client relationships from first contact through to delivery handover and renewal
* Oversee proposals, budgets, contracts, and order confirmations
* Drive upsells including additional content, multi‑camera setups, live streaming, and photography
Commercial & Internal Alignment
* Work closely with production teams to scope projects accurately (crew, kit, edit time)
* Ensure all projects are commercially viable and deliverable
* Negotiate pricing, margins, and payment terms
* Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting
KPIs & Success Metrics
* New business revenue generated from video production services
* New client acquisition rate
* Lead‑to‑opportunity and opportunity‑to‑close conversion rates
* Volume and quality of new business pipeline generated
* Average deal value of new contracts
* Accuracy of new business forecasting and pipeline health
* CRM (HubSpot) data quality and new lead tracking
* Weekly new business activity metrics (calls, outreach, meetings, proposals)
Qualifications
* Strong abilities in Business Development, Strategic Planning, and Market Research
* Proven experience in client relationship management, networking, and negotiation
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and consistently meet targets
* Experience in video production, event production, or related industries preferred
* Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue growth and hitting sales targets

* Microsoft Excel (budgeting and forecasting)
* Power BI (performance tracking)
* AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT for outreach and proposal support)
* Outlook and standard business communication platforms
