Job Title: Housing Recovery Worker (Support Worker)
Responsible to: Hostel Manager

It is our vision that through warmth and kindness, we will provide help and support to those most in need in our communities.
One of the ways we do this is through our award-winning homeless hostel Calderwood House.
Calderwood House works with local people in West Cumbria who are facing homelessness. Many of our clients may have experienced abuse, exclusion and substance misuse issues; mental health illness and some will have been sleeping rough when they come to us. Through the provision of our temporary emergency accommodation and housing related support, we aim to equip our residents with the confidence, motivation and core life skills that they need to make positive changes in their lives.
We also signpost to skills and employment development programs, training and education. Our hostel has a special emphasis on military veterans and gives ex forces priority access.
We are looking for Housing Recovery Support Staff (Full time Permanent & Bank) to join our organisation and help us to live our values of kindness, care, respect, support and belief.
We are always keen to hear from people with Lived Experience.
Hours of Work:
12 hour shifts Monday – Sunday on a rolling rota. Consisting of Day Shift and night shift
07:30hrs – 20:00hrs & Night Shift 19:30hrs – 08:00hrs.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: £12.50 per hour (Living Wage)
