Company Description
The Cost Management Team is set up to constantly challenge the ways of working and processes across Finance to ensure we are operating in the most efficient way possible. It is a team of 6 Finance Analysts and Senior Finance Analysts looking after operating expenses for Three UK.
The successful candidate will be need to be a critical thinker that can identify ways of improvement, have an appetite for change with new technologies and the ability to implement new ways of working using these skills.
Day to day, you will be responsible for the month end and quarterly forecast processing for areas within our commercial function, predominantly Contact Centre and Consumer areas, working closely with the Finance Business Partners and the relevant members of the business to challenge and manage the cost.
This will be an exciting challenge for someone to get stuck in to with opportunity to make their mark on the wider business.
Job Description
You will work closely with the finance business partners to complete month end journals, prepare management reporting packs including analysis and commentary to enable them to tell the stories behind the numbers.
You will be responsible for the completion of balance sheet reconciliations and reporting used to communicate to our shareholder. Similarly, the forecasting process involves preparing the Smartview upload files, then building management reporting with commentary and analysis for the Finance Business Partners.
There is an element of Business Partnering, working with the business and the Finance Business Partner to ensure you are aware of any month end or forecasting changes. Furthermore, you will work with the external auditors to assist with their testing and queries on the areas you support:
- Month end processing, reporting and business commentary - 40%
- Business Opex forecasting - 35%
- Project work including process improvements & automation 15%
- Adhoc business requests - 10%
Qualifications
Must have experience and skills:
• Studying towards a professional qualification.
• Excellent MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills.
• Experience of interfacing with commercial teams
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate in a demand led, rapid change environment.
Nice to have experience and Skills:
• Higher level of academic qualifications ( degree)
- Oracle/Hyperion experience
- Alteryx

Salary range for this role start's at £27,740 and exact salary will differ by job and experience

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.
Excluding retail, our core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
