Job Summary

Support design teams in delivering the highest quality designs and supporting information required for the preparation, submission and approval of planning applications and Building Warrants

Primary Responsibilities

Pre-Development Management

Support the production Site Layouts and Design Packages for both Planning and Building Warrant approval processes.
Support the production & co-ordination of high quality designs, utilizing TW standard products and details wherever possible
Support the preparation of working drawings and ancillary details for site variation and bespoke units
Be aware of and implement a high level of CDM, identifying foreseeable risk in designs and taking action to design risk out, in line with company policy.
Management of external consultants to ensure information is received, checked, co-ordinated and distributed on time and within budget.
Implement the departments Quality Management Process to ensure Design information meets the high quality expectations of the business.
Attend all design meetings with other departments in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all relevant action points are noted and recorded.
Liaison with sales department in procurement of accurate sales presentation drawings.
Attend concept, pre tender, pre start, specification and any other relevant meeting as required under the Company's Framework procedure.

Land and Planning & Community engagement

Support planning applications, co-ordinate with the Planning & technical teams to deliver accurate designs and approvals from inception to completion, including all supporting documents.
Alongside the Planning team, clear all planning conditions prior to approval.
Input into house type design forum.
Responsible for all planning and development functions on a determined number of sites.

Health, Safety & Environment

Implement a high level of CDM, identifying foreseeable risk in designs and taking action to design risk out, in line with company policy.
An understanding of industry operating practices such as Health, Safety & Environment and how these should be incorporated into designs.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

Degree level qualification in a relevant field
Previous experience in the housebuilding sector
Capable of preparing and managing a number of planning applications
Computer literate with knowledge of Autocad
