Senior Tax Manager – Sussex
Location: Steyning
Full time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week – flexible working with core hours
Holiday: 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)
About the Senior Tax Manager Role
Senior Tax Manager in Sussex office to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing tax returns for individuals and partnerships.
* Preparing ERS and EMI returns.
* Preparing forms P11d and PSA calculations.
* Dealing with client queries and HMRC enquiries.
* Involvement with capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
* Advisory work.
* Assisting partners with specialist tax consultancy projects.
* Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
* Managing own flow of work and those of junior team members.
* Review of junior team’s work.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
* At least 3 years of relevant accountancy practice experience.
* Qualified CTA or qualified by experience (other suitable qualifications considered).
* Excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients as well as develop new business and demonstrate technical breadth.
* Ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding.
* Technical proficiency and good IT skills, specifically intermediate Excel. Previous experience of CCH is an advantage.
* Role may require traveling to client premises; must hold a current driving licence and have own transport.
