Responsibilities
:
1. Support the implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for designated projects
2. Manage materials, plant, and labour within allocated budgets to ensure safe and efficient delivery
3. Ensure effective communication of systems, design information, procedures, and quality standards
4. Provide technical support to delivery teams and verify work outputs
5. Conduct audits and lead assurance activities, identifying best practice and areas for improvement
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and suppliers
7. Ensure engineering solutions are fit for purpose, recognising site constraints and regulatory requirements (including CDM)
8. Support procurement processes, material control policies, and cost reporting
9. Apply quality assurance principles and technical integrity to ensure assets and services meet requirements
10. Produce accurate weekly and monthly progress and productivity reports
11. Provide performance feedback against estimates to the estimating function
12. Promote innovation and adoption of appropriate digital toolsets, including BIM
Essential Experience
13. Proven engineering experience with subject matter expertise in a relevant discipline
14. Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and technical standards
15. Previous management experience within construction or related sectors
16. Strong understanding of technical issues and sector trends
17. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
18. Ability to advise senior management and take decisive action when required
19. Customer-focused, flexible, and performance-driven approach
20. Passion for innovation and engineering excellence
Qualifications:
21. Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or ONC/HNC)
22. Professional qualification such as MICE or MIStructE
23. Valid CSCS card (essential)
24. Understanding of BIM and the ability to interpret and assemble BIM models
