About The Role

Calcot Services for Children are growing and we are looking to recruit a Registered Manager to join our team.
We are looking for someone who wishes to make a difference to our children & young people's lives and has proven experience of management at a senior level in a residential setting.
As the Registered Manager of a Residential Children's Home specialising in learning disabilities, you will support Calcot Services for Children to ensure that a warm, nurturing, accepting therapeutic environment is evidenced, delivered and developed in accordance with the Company's core values.
You will be responsible for the successful day to day running of the home whilst directing a team of qualified professionals, as well as inputting into the continuous strategic planning for developments within the home.
About You
As part of your role we would like you to join us with the following:
* An ability to lead a team and to work as part of a team alongside building professional relationships with all external agencies
* An ability to provide consistency of care and support to the young people
* Resilience and perseverance to manage and lead others during challenging periods within the home
* An ability to advocate and have unreserved commitment to support and represent disadvantaged and vulnerable groups
* Have an excellent working knowledge of governing legislation for children's homes (Ofsted)
* Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
* Commitment to obtain (if not held) Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Service

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Thatcham for a Registered Manager - Children's Residential - LD. The Registered Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the residential home, ensuring a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Daily tasks include staff management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, budgeting, and overseeing care plans and educational pursuits for the children. The role requires coordination with external agencies, maintaining records, and providing training and development opportunities for staff.
Qualifications
* Excellent Communication skills and People Management skills
* Experience in Residential Real Estate and Budgeting
* Ability to manage Training programs for staff
* Strong organizational and leadership abilities
* Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field
* Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within children's residential care
* Knowledge of therapeutic principles and child-focused care pathways
