What you will be doing
1. 11kV substation inspections and maintenance for over 340 Murphy HV assets, including inspecting the physical substation, checking transformers and associated HV/LV equipment, completing reports with images, and overseeing arising actions.
2. Supporting the installation of power cable joints and terminations when needed.
3. Recognizing and promoting best practices and innovation.
4. Maintaining and ensuring the safety of all issued company property, including PAT and calibration testing.
5. Traveling across various sites in the Midlands and southern regions.
6. Murphy will authorize the person and provide them with substation entry qualifications.
Who we’re looking for
* Experience in cable jointing on LV/HV/EHV networks.
* 2391 testing and inspection certification.
* Authorised Person certification.
* Basic operational knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems is advantageous.
* A willingness to potentially progress into a HV and LV SAP in the future.
* Manual Handling certification is advantageous.
* DNO Authorisation is advantageous.
* Willingness to travel and lodge.
* A full UK Driving Licence.
* HV/LV switching experience.
