This well‑established manufacturing operation seeks a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring maximum machine uptime. The role is hands‑on, days‑based, and suited to a proactive engineer with strong fault‑finding skills and commitment to safe working practices. Hours: 06:00‑14:00 and 10:00‑18:00.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with agreed schedules.
* Provide first‑line response to equipment breakdowns.
* Fault‐find and repair extrusion lines, moulding machines, automated cells, ancillary equipment, and butt fusion equipment.
* Complete mechanical and electrical maintenance work safely and efficiently.
* Implement agreed improvement and modification work on capital equipment.
* Record maintenance activities, downtime, and data using a CMMS system to support KPIs.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and equipment reliability.
Skills & Experience
* Time‑served Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing maintenance role.
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving capability.
* Ability to work effectively within a team with good communication skills.
