New Directions Education are currently recruiting individuals from a sports coaching background to work as Teaching Assistants in schools. This is an excellent opportunity to transfer coaching skills into an educational setting.
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils in the classroom and during practical activities
2. Using sports and teamwork skills to engage and motivate pupils
3. Supporting behaviour management and positive conduct
4. Working with small groups or individual pupils
5. Promoting confidence, resilience, and participation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. A background in sports coaching or physical activity
7. Experience working with children or young people
8. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
9. High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
10. An interest in developing a career within education
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
