Experience required…
Essential:
8. Chartered or a highly experienced Engineer working towards CEng (min 10 years relevant experience required)
9. Evidence of leading multi-disciplinary projects to achieve customer’s programme, cost, and quality expectations
10. Extensive design and construction experience in highways including review of design software outputs
11. Experience of commercial awareness in project delivery
12. Extensive experience of Local Authority design standards and contracts
13. Evidence of developing and mentoring staff
14. Experience of design resource planning and programme management
15. Evidence of managing H&S in design and construction
16. Good understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations
17. Computer literate particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
18. Experience of the NEC suite of contract documents and administration
19. Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 (Low Traffic Neighbourhood), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), MCDHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards
20. Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
21. Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience would be advantageous)
22. Full UK/EEC driving licence
