InPost UK
Logistics administrator

Offer description

Want to be part of a UK hub, in a global business that is scaling rapidly, evolving fast and radically changing the decades-old delivery universe? If so, read on, as we’re looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Administrator to join our Southampton team!

We are delighted to announce that we have acquired Yodel, one of the UK’s largest delivery companies. The acquisition builds on the partnership established between InPost and Yodel in 2024, when Yodel began providing last-mile delivery through InPost’s “locker-to-door” service.

Today we become truly unique as the only delivery partner with a one-stop shop offer - we have the largest out of home delivery network that is now combined with to-door capabilities. Going forward, the acquisition of Yodel brings immediate scale to InPost's operations, expands our service offering, and provides greater convenience to retailers and customers.

About the role:

As an integral part of the InPost team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to understand and meet the needs of customers and suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient service delivery. You will manage customer enquiries, support procurement activities, and maintain accurate data to facilitate seamless operations.

In addition, you will produce timely weekly and monthly reports, assist with general administration, and handle ad hoc tasks as needed. By investigating and resolving customer queries promptly, you will help uphold InPost’s commitment to excellent customer service and operational success.

This role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic company dedicated to delivering outstanding service and continuous growth.

📍 Location: 3 Barnes Wallis Road, Segensworth East, Southampton PO15 5ST

📅 Shift Pattern: Wednesday to Saturday & Sunday to Wednesday

🕒 Hours: 07:00am - 15:30pm

💰 Salary: £26,021.00 per annum

What you’ll be doing:

Customer Engagement: Proactively managing and responding to customer enquiries with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to outstanding service.

Procurement Coordination: Handling procurement needs with precision to guarantee timely supply and support, helping to maintain seamless business flow.

Data Management: Entering, updating, and maintaining data with the highest level of accuracy, ensuring that all information is reliable and up-to-date.

Reporting Excellence: Producing detailed, timely reports on a weekly and monthly basis, providing critical insights that help the team track progress and make informed decisions.

Administrative Support: Carrying out a variety of general administrative tasks with diligence and attention to detail, keeping daily operations organized and efficient.

Ad Hoc Assistance: Offering flexible support to the team on various ad hoc projects and administrative duties, adapting quickly to changing priorities.

Problem Solving & Risk Management: Leading the charge on identifying potential compliance issues by generating comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports. You’ll work closely with your colleagues to develop and implement effective solutions that prevent problems before they arise, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Innovation & Process Improvement: Collaborating with Depot Management and other stakeholders to brainstorm, design, and implement innovative processes and systems. Your forward-thinking approach will directly contribute to elevating business performance, especially in key areas such as Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Transport Logistics, helping us to consistently exceed company targets.

What we need from you:

Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in word processing and spreadsheets that allow you to produce professional documents and insightful data analysis effortlessly.

Customer Service Excellence: A genuine passion for customer service, always aiming to deliver positive experiences and build strong relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.

Payroll Experience: Hands-on experience managing payroll processes accurately and confidentially, ensuring employee compensation is handled smoothly.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to articulate information clearly and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.

Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and developing creative, practical solutions, taking ownership to see them through to resolution.

Exceptional Time Management: Outstanding organizational skills that empower you to juggle multiple responsibilities and priorities efficiently without missing a beat.

Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and preventing errors that could impact business operations.

Passion for Excellence: A dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety, thriving in environments that prioritize continuous improvement and accountability.

Legal Eligibility: Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The InPost process:

We pride ourselves on our candidate experience. We want to make this as straightforward as possible, for you and for us! We will try our best to get back to you within a few days to let you know if we’d like to take you to the first stage.
