Your New Company: We are working with a pioneer in the Alternative Legal Service Provider (ALSP) market, leading the next evolution in legal services through AI-integrated contracting. They are seeking a contracts specialist to join their team as a Senior Legal Associate (Contract Management) in Bedford. Our client is a market leader in Integrated Law, combining Traditional Law, New Law, and in-house legal expertise to deliver complex legal work at scale. They collaborate with corporate legal departments to address the increasing demands and complexity of transactional legal work. Their approach integrates specialist expertise, AI-powered solutions, and business process knowledge to improve performance, outcomes, and the contracting experience. Your New Role: As the Senior Legal Associate (Contract Management), you will support clients by drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts, providing general support to the contracts management and in-house legal teams. The role requires teamwork, collaboration, clear communication, and a result-driven attitude. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, working with in-house legal teams on various matters such as international deals, procurement, marketing, professional services, media, technology, or consumer issues. You will manage caseloads, ensure compliance with delivery processes, update data in systems, and help develop contract templates and tools for the team. You will contribute to continuous service improvement and value addition.
What You Need To Succeed: Essential criteria include a Law Degree or legal qualification, eligibility to work in the UK, at least 4 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, client-facing experience, and strong commercial awareness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, and alignment with the company's core values of Authenticity, Accountability, Adaptability, and Stewardship are required. Desirable experience includes working in telecommunications, financial services, or professional services, preferably in an in-house role.
