What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a friendly and effective Midday Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will promote positive behaviour and ensure the safety and good conduct of pupils in both the dinner hall and outside areas. They should enjoy working with children and possess good communication skills. The working pattern is Monday-Friday, 12.00-1.30pm, during term time only.
The successful candidate must:
1. Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
2. Assist confidently with managing the dining hall to facilitate a calm and enjoyable lunch for pupils.
3. Collaborate with other midday colleagues and senior staff to create and implement engaging activities for lunchtime play.
4. Oversee pupils in the playground, engaging positively to ensure a safe and happy playtime experience.
5. Have GCSE A-C grades (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
