Howden – Corporate & Commercial are on the hunt for an Account Handler within our highly successful Commercial Schemes division to support our team in delivering a first-class service to our clients. You will be responsible for achieving personal operational targets whilst upholding outstanding customer service to our clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to develop their career within the insurance industry. You will join a dynamic and successful organisation that values collaboration, innovation and excellence in everything we do. You will be responsible for contacting and renewing our already established clients within our specialist let property team.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent role. You will be based in our Cheltenham office. During training you will be required to work in the office 5 days a week. Once training is complete you will move to a hybrid working pattern.

Overview:

1. Prioritise and handle all work promptly and accurately

2. Crafting and maintaining relationships with Insurers and all Divisions around the company

3. Hitting/exceeding individual targets for debt & payment plan defaults

4. Handle all queries, written or by telephone in a professional manner and process effectively in line with service standards

5. Listening to the clients’ challenges and offering help to investigate and provide new solutions

6. Negotiating and influencing effectively, both internally and externally, to achieve business objectives

7. Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times

8. Process adjustments in line with procedures

Knowledge:

9. A minimum of 2 years customer service and administration experience that includes up selling and be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of sales/renewing and client service

Skills:

10. Customer focused approach, with prior experience gained within a telephony-based service role.

11. Accuracy and attention to detail.

12. Ability to process work quickly and efficiently.

13. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

14. Good literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications:

15. 5 GCSE A*-C including Maths and English.

16. A level (desirable).

17. Cert CII (desirable).
