Contract: Full Time, Temporary (until 31/08/2026)
Salary: Grade 5 SCP 11-19 (£28,142- £32,061) Pro Rata
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)
To begin: as soon as possible
Responsibilities
* Support families across the three schools and provide a single point of contact and consistency throughout the educational journey of their children.
* Work with targeted families to strengthen links between the schools, parents, families, and the wider community to reduce the impact of poverty and disadvantage on educational attainment.
* Engage directly with hard-to-reach families and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Collaborate as part of a dedicated and supportive team within the schools.
What we are looking for
* A high level of resilience to deal with a range of challenging circumstances.
* Ongoing and successful experience of working with families.
* Experience of working within a school environment as part of the role, including supporting specific children and families across the school.
* Patient, caring, positive, proactive, team-oriented, and professional at all times.
Other requirements
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.

Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
