Audit Senior - South Coast (Southampton or Poole)
A well-established accountancy practice with a strong presence across the South Coast is seeking an Audit Senior to join its growing team. The firm offers a collaborative culture, modern office space, and a clear focus on SME clients and they can provide an excellent work life balance.
The Role
This is a hands-on audit role, ideal for someone looking to deepen their experience with SME clients. You'll be involved in the full audit cycle, working closely with clients and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading audit fieldwork and substantive testing, often on-site at client premises
* Planning and completing audit assignments with appropriate documentation
* Preparing statutory financial statements and identifying key risk areas
* Supporting and mentoring junior staff
* Building strong client relationships and contributing to team success
Candidate Profile
* ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (minimum 18 months' experience)
* Experience auditing SME clients
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP
* Knowledge of IFRS would be beneficial
* Right to work as no sponsorship is available
