We are looking for a driven and standalone Area Sales Manager to look after Scotland and Northern Ireland. We hire, sell and maintain specialist plant equipment in various industrial markets. This the perfect role if you love autonomy, freedom from micro:management and uncapped earning potential.
BASIC SALARY: A GBP 35,000 : A GBP 45,000

LOCATION: Youll be home based, covering the whole of Scotland, with travel to Ireland.
Ideally, youll live in or around Glasgow, Edinburgh or Dundee, so this could include Perth, Dunfermline, Kirkaldy, Stirling, Broxburn, Livingston, Bathgate, Whitburn, Linlithgow, Falkirk, Cumbernauld or anywhere in between.

As our Business Development Manager you will be self:sufficient and driven by earning. Working from home and covering Scotland and Ireland, youll use your experience of contract hire sales and/or sales of high value capital equipment to grow your region. Initially, this will be a new business focused role however you will be taking over an active territory with existing customers.
This is a solution sell, so you MUST be able to demonstrate your ability to swiftly convert leads into high value sales and develop (up:sell and cross sell) existing accounts.
To succeed in this role, youll be self:generating leads or following up on interest from our highly focussed marketing campaigns to:
A Meet with 2/3 clients per day
A Complete site surveys to generate accurate quotations
A Advise clients on the best solution to meet their requirements
A Follow up on presented quotes and close sales
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager : plant equipment, industrial machinery
You will ideally have a proven track record of success in the contract hire and/or sales of either plant, machinery, specialist capital equipment or high value, technical solutions. Although not essential its likely that youll have sold to one or more of the following market sectors/industries/product types:
A Mining / quarrying / timber
A Cement and Concrete Manufacturers
A Steel and Foundry Sites
A Bulk and Mineral Storage and Transportation hubs
A Power Generation Facilities/ Energy from waste (EFW)
A Building Materials production, eg Brickworks
A Recycling facilities
Regardless of your sales background, youll need to be self:motivated, with excellent planning skills and a demonstrable track record of building long:term relationships.
