Electrician Commercial Properties
RAF Lakenheath (IP27 9PP), RAF Feltwell, RAF Mildenhall Brandon, Suffolk.
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
On-call rota: 1 week in 5 (includes standby fee and on-call payments).
Join a team as a Commercial Electrician! We are looking for a skilled Electrician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and reactive repairs across commercial properties at RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell.
As part of a dedicated team of 8 electricians, your responsibilities will include:
1. Fixed wire inspections (five-year testing) on commercial properties.
2. Emergency lighting checks and distribution board inspections.
3. Responding to minor installations and repairs, such as additional power points and lighting modifications.
4. Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations.
This role involves working within MoD commercial facilities, requiring a strong technical background and the ability to operate in high-security environments.
Essential Qualifications
* City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation.
* City & Guilds 18th Edition.
* Experience conducting fixed wire testing in commercial properties.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in MoD, construction, or property maintenance environments.
* Knowledge of security-cleared workplaces and their specific electrical requirements.
Other Requirements
* Full, clean UK driving licence (company van provided for business use).
* Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with site managers and facility teams.
* Must be able to pass BPSS clearance.
