Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain the daily upkeep of the park and facilities, including toilets, play areas, events space, tennis courts, and general cleaning to ensure high standards.
2. Manage the computerized booking system and liaise with the District Development Department regarding facility bookings.
3. Handle all telephone and email inquiries and bookings for the park and its facilities.
4. Perform cash handling duties, including processing payments and maintaining accurate records in line with Council procedures.
5. Check the safety of the park and facilities before public use, recording any issues as necessary.
6. Open and close facilities as required and be available on-site when open.
7. Oversee the opening and closing of the Ross Monument.
8. Carry out patrol and enforcement duties, including issuing tickets and maintaining order.
9. Enforce Council bye-laws and ensure premises are secure.
10. Report all defects and accidents to the supervisor.
11. Perform any additional duties that support the effective operation of the park and facilities.
Qualifications and Experience
* GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
* Minimum 6 months’ experience handling cash and maintaining records in a work environment.
* Minimum 6 months’ experience working with the public in a customer service role.
* At least 1 year’s experience in customer service and reception duties.
* Experience in patrol and enforcement duties is desirable.
Skills and Knowledge
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Email, Spreadsheets, and Databases.
* Understanding of health and safety practices relevant to the role.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Other Requirements
* Full current driving license and access to transport or alternative means to meet job requirements.
* The role involves working alone at times.
