£31,650 - £43,606 (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking DT department. The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering a practical, hands-on curriculum that inspires creativity and builds technical confidence in students.

Role Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging DT lessons in woodwork and resistant materials across KS3 & KS4
2. Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised workshop environment
3. Track and report on student progress to support achievement
4. Manage tools and materials effectively while upholding health & safety standards
Requirements
To be considered for this Design Technology Teacher position, you must have:
5. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
6. Experience teaching woodwork and resistant materials at secondary level
7. A clear understanding of Health & Safety regulations in workshop settings
8. Strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
9. A genuine passion for design, innovation, and inspiring young people
10. An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
