SEN Classroom Support Assistant – Chorley
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Start Date: Immediate opportunities available
Pay: £89 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Term Time Only

Do you have a passion for helping children with Special Educational Needs thrive in their education? We are currently seeking caring and enthusiastic SEN Classroom Assistants to join specialist schools in Chorley.
This role is perfect for those with experience working with children or young people who have additional needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health challenges.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who:
* Have hands-on experience supporting children with SEN in a classroom or care setting
* Understand the needs of pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties
* Hold a Level 2 (or higher) qualification in Teaching Assistance, Childcare, or a related area (preferred)
* Can remain calm, patient, and proactive when supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Have (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Can provide an up-to-date CV outlining relevant experience
Your Role Will Include
* Offering 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
* Assisting teachers with learning activities tailored to individual needs
* Supporting the delivery of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Encouraging emotional regulation and positive behaviour
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
* Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
