About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low‑carbon electricity.
What You'll Be Doing
The purpose of the role; to manage and deliver multiple portions/disciplines of construction to programme within budget and cost/financial control. The candidate will have a Heavy Civils based background which to include Major Earthworks Cut & Fill operations, Stockpile management, Platform installation for Piling/ Cranage/Sheet Piling works, infrastructure installation, Heavy Duty FRC slabs experience, Drainage and water management all carried out in a live dynamic work environment.
You will also have to provide and demonstrate Strategic operation management through strong leadership and be capable of controlling a multidisciplinary team in multiple areas with the larger site area. Strong leadership will develop, mentor and guide junior members of the team through experience and knowledge. Also demonstrate a can‑do attitude and be able to communicate efficiently internally within the CWA Environment and externally with the larger client team.
Who We're Looking For
* Proven track record in managing and leading large teams
* Demonstrable experience of innovation, in all fields (Health and Safety, Operational Delivery etc)
* Experienced in the recruitment and development of talent within the business, including mentoring, stretch and challenge for junior team members and ensuring clearly defined development plans are in place
* Strong leadership and management skills, including completion of formal qualification (e.g. ILM).
* Wide ranging independent judgement evident, proven track record in this regard.
* Has achieved professional accreditation and undertakes extra‑curricular activities to advance the profession (e.g. ICE, IHT, CMI).
