EYFS Teaching Assistant – Chichester
Location: City school
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Pay: £82 – £90 per day
Start Date: December 2025
A well-regarded two-form entry primary school on the outskirts of Chichester City Centre is looking to appoint an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in their first stages of education. This is a temporary role at the moment but could become permeant.
About the School:
Set just outside the city centre the school is known for its calm atmosphere and strong sense of community. Pupils are cheerful, well-behaved, and eager to learn. Staff work closely together to create a supportive environment where children are encouraged to do their best.
The Role:
You’ll be working with Early Years pupils, setting up the classroom in the morning ,supporting learning and occasionally working with small groups or individual children who may need extra help.
What We’re Looking For We’re keen to hear from candidates who:
* Have experience working with infant children
* Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2 – desirable but not essential)
* Are confident working as part of a team
* Can build positive working relationships with pupils and staff
* Are calm, reliable and able to adapt to the needs of the children
Responsibilities:
* Support learning in and EYFS classroom
* Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs
* Help promote positive behaviour and engagement
* Assist with planning and delivering small group activities
* Contribute to the wider life of the school
