We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to assist in the day-to-day presentation and maintenance of our new luxury development, Candleriggs in Glasgow!
Responsibilities
1. Respond to all building support requests and work orders promptly.
2. Provide technical advice and support to ensure the development runs smoothly.
3. Oversee and carry out fabric and minor repairs.
4. Perform lighting checks and replace light bulbs as needed.
5. Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within a realistic timeframe.
6. Carry out decoration and repairs within 5 days to prepare homes for letting.
7. Liaise with the Building Manager to prioritize workload and communicate effectively.
8. Ensure compliance with Rent Smart and the Letting Code of Conduct.
9. Inform the company of any additional works needed at the location.
10. Work independently and support team members and goals.
11. Ensure all works are compliant with HSE and water bye-laws.
12. Respond effectively to emergency call-outs and situations.
13. Assist with general maintenance tasks, including furniture building, hanging pictures, and familiarization of new apartments and systems.
14. Support the team with additional duties, including manning the front reception and assisting the housekeeper when required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Electrical Competency Certificate or equivalent (within the last 3 years).
* IOSH Working Safely qualification or equivalent.
* Knowledge of basic water systems and L8 regulations.
* Experience with CAFM systems (preferably web-based).
* Previous maintenance experience within residential properties or student accommodation.
* Basic painting skills and understanding of decorating and fabric repairs.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong understanding of COSHH.
* City and Guilds Multi Skills Certificate or equivalent (desirable).
