We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with diverse needs and help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Differentiating work to meet the individual needs of pupils
* Assisting the class teacher in assessing student levels and abilities
* Upholding the school's ethos, values, and policies at all times
* ️ Supporting students in completing work set by the class teacher
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working in specialist schools or similar settings
* Background in support work within schools or child-related environments
* Strong behaviour management skills, with confidence in handling challenging behaviour
* Comfortable working 1:1 and with small groups
* A friendly, enthusiastic, yet firm approach
* An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for one
