Job Summary
Neurodevelopmental Specialist Children’s Services -ND West Dunbartonshire (Neurodevelopmental Clinical Coordinator) – Full time (37 hours) permanent – Band 7. Base location: Vale of Leven, Hospital: Alexandria.
Responsibilities
• Lead the operational delivery of a specialist service for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions across West Dunbartonshire.
• Support the management and development of the locality multidisciplinary teams engaging in neurodevelopmental assessment, post diagnostic intervention and providing support and consultancy across the wider children’s services system.
• Build and maintain relationships and collaborate with partners in health, education, social services and the third sector.
• Work across Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Specialist Community Paediatrics Teams.
• Work with the Service Manager and the locality CAMHS and Paediatric leads to continue developing service for effective assessment and care of children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Support effective clinical governance and ensure appropriate systems of supervision are in place for a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians.
Qualifications
• Professionally registered.
• Management or leadership experience.
• Significant experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences.
Training and Support
Training and support for professional development will be provided. Regular supervision and evidence-based practice are committed.
