To be considered for the role, you ll require the following essentials:
* A strong passion for food innovation and a genuine interest in nutrition
* At least 2/3 years of experience in food manufacturing or product development
* In-depth knowledge of food science, nutrition, and regulatory requirements
* Experience of working with external manufacturers
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools (Excel and Sheets in particular)
* A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
* Proven experience leading NPD projects from ideation to successful market launch
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
Within this position, you ll also be:
* Designing and refining product formulations, balancing functionality, cost-effectiveness, and nutritional guidelines
* Managing product testing processes, such as sensory evaluations, shelf-life assessments, and regulatory compliance checks
* Conducting in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, consumer demands, and competitor activity, shaping product development strategies
* Collaborating across departments, including marketing, procurement, production, and compliance, to ensure smooth product development and timely launches
* Ensuring that all product specifications adhere to industry regulations and internal quality standards
* Leading product trials, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to optimise production outcomes
* Keeping up to date with advancements in the industry, researching innovative ingredients and new technologies
* Identifying and resolving technical challenges throughout the development cycle to ensure seamless project execution
Salary & Working Hours
* Salary is GBP45,000 per annum
* Working hours Monday to Friday some hybrid available
