The role
We’re working with a supportive SEN school looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team this September. The school caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SLD and complex learning difficulties, and offers a nurturing environment where staff are well supported and pupils are encouraged to thrive at their own pace. This is a full-time class teaching role where you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons, leading a small class team, and working closely with support staff, therapists and wider professionals to support pupil progress. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets Lead a class team including teaching assistants Create a structured, safe and positive learning environment Track and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly Work collaboratively with parents, staff and external agencies Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience working within SEN settings or with pupils with additional needs Strong understanding of differentiation and SEND strategies A calm, consistent and adaptable approach Commitment to supporting pupils with a range of complex needs If you’re looking for a rewarding SEN teaching role from September and want to join a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
