Manpower Recruitment is looking for a Full Time Permanent Chef De Partie in an established restaurant based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
This is a full-time role, working 5/7 days with flexibility required for weekends, evenings, and mornings. The role offers a salary of up to £34,000 per annum depending on experience, plus tips.
Live-in accommodation is available for a fee. Candidates must drive or live locally due to the location.
* Split shifts are required, including a mixture of split and straight shifts.
* The kitchen operates between 10 am and 10 pm.
* Car parking is available close to the restaurant.
Overall Objective:
To prepare, cook, and serve meals that meet the standards set by the Head Chef.
Essential Job Functions - Food Production:
* Assist in creating, preparing, and cooking dishes according to recipes.
* Participate in developing and designing seasonal menus.
* Assess all dishes for taste, presentation, and quality before serving.
* Control food costs and minimize wastage, including proper handling of leftovers.
* Ensure safety and security protocols are followed at all times.
* Maintain personal hygiene and work in a hygienic manner.
* Manage your station and report low stock levels to the shift supervisor.
* Be aware of health, safety, and security issues related to your work area.
* Understand food costs and departmental expenses and their impact on profit and loss.
* Minimize wastage by properly handling surplus food after service.
