Our client is a growing renewable energy company committed to delivering high-quality solar and battery systems, backed by outstanding customer care. They believe in doing things properly, looking after people, and building a business everyone can be proud of.
They are now looking for a Technical Support Engineer (Electrician) to become the go-to person for after-sales technical support. This is a varied role combining customer-facing technical support with hands-on electrical work, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and taking ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Customer Care
Act as the main point of contact for all after-sales technical enquiries
Support customers with fault-finding and troubleshooting of solar PV and battery systems
Liaise with manufacturers to resolve technical issues efficiently
Ensure customers feel informed, supported, and well looked after
Take ownership of issues from first contact through to resolution
Electrical & On-Site Support
Assist installation teams on-site when required
Carry out electrical works including wiring batteries, inverters, and associated systems
Provide additional technical expertise and guidance to the wider team
You will effectively lead this function, with support from experienced engineers within the business.
What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements
Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
Desirable
Experience with solar PV, battery storage, or renewable energy systems
Previous experience in a technical support or after-sales role
Good understanding of inverter and battery technologies
