My client, a leading global law firm, is looking to recruit a Learning & Development Adviser to join its London-based People team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced L&D or Talent professional to play a key role in shaping and delivering high‑quality development programmes within a collaborative, forward‑thinking firm. The role sits within a well‑established Talent Development team and offers real exposure, responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on early‑career talent and the wider business.
You will join a firm that places strong value on professional growth, inclusion, and wellbeing, offering a supportive environment where individuals are encouraged to take ownership of their careers and contribute to the firm’s continued success.
The Role
Working as part of a dynamic and highly regarded Talent Development team, the Adviser will focus primarily on the design, coordination, and delivery of business skills and development programmes, particularly for early‑career groups such as trainees, solicitor apprentices, paralegals, and junior associates. There will also be opportunities to support development initiatives at other levels across the firm.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the end‑to‑end delivery of learning and development programmes, ensuring smooth organisation, delivery, and follow‑up
* Designing, facilitating, and delivering training sessions and workshops, independently and in collaboration with colleagues or external specialists
* Ensuring programmes have clear learning objectives and are delivered using effective, modern learning methodologies
* Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business to ensure programmes are relevant, engaging, and impactful
* Refreshing and updating learning materials in response to feedback, changing business needs, and best practice
* Identifying, selecting, and managing external training providers, ensuring high quality and value for money
* Managing programme budgets and supporting cost‑effective delivery
* Supporting wider talent and development initiatives, including insights‑based training and facilitation
* Acting as a key point of contact for development activity linked to Asia‑based offices
About You
The successful candidate will bring a solid background in learning, talent, or development, ideally gained within a law firm or professional services environment.
You are likely to demonstrate:
* Experience across the full training cycle, including needs analysis, programme design, facilitation, delivery, and evaluation
* Confidence as a trainer and presenter, with strong facilitation skills
* Experience managing multiple programmes and stakeholders simultaneously
* Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage credibly at all levels

There is a strong emphasis on inclusion, development, and work‑life balance, alongside opportunities to get involved in wellbeing, CSR, and community initiatives.
