This is a part-time role for 10 hours per week, delivered afternoons only Monday to Friday, with an immediate start.
About the role - you will:
Support the learner in Functional Skills English, with the possibility of preparing for GCSE English
Develop the young person's social and communication skills through
* consistent, structured, and supportive interaction
* Create an engaging and personalised learning experience that builds confidence and motivation
Sessions will take place face-to-face in the learner's home
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
* Proven experience teaching and supporting students with ASD and social communication needs
* Strong understanding of differentiated teaching, sensory needs, and strategies for neurodivergent learners
* Experience delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE English
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Availability for an immediate start and commitment to consistency
