Overview
We are seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join the Fostering Team in Blackpool. Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of family and friends to determine their suitability as foster carers, in collaboration with the Family Safeguarding Team.
Contribute to the care planning process, in line with court decisions.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of kinship care arrangements, including connected carers and special guardians, while implementing the Government’s kinship strategy.
Develop detailed reports and collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure compliance with fostering regulations and National Minimum Standards.
Analyse the strengths and support needs of proposed carers creatively, ensuring robust assessments.
