Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Designer to join our dynamic team in Stevenage. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for understanding the Clients’ needs and proactively identify solutions to their challenges and ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting their needs and expectations.
1. To make sure the Client is aware of their duties under CDM 2015
2. Review existing H&S information and provide advice if additional surveys are required
3. Stakeholder engagement
4. Oversee the creation of the Design Risk Register
5. Assisting the client in identifying suitable project preconstruction information
6. Compilation of the Pre-construction information pack
7. Assurance of supplier appointment, advise on the competency for the role
8. Supply the Principal Contractor with the H&S information to inform their construction works
9. To liaise with the Principal Contractor throughout the construction phase
10. To compile the Health and Safety File
Qualifications
11. NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ L6 in Health & Safety
12. NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational H&S
13. NEBOSH Fire Certificate
14. Technical Member of IOSH
15. Certified Member of IOSH
16. Chartered Member of IOSH
17. APS Principal Designer
18. Extensive years + experience working on similar projects / programmes
19. Proficient in Design Risk Management
20. Proficient in the implementation of the Hierarchy of Controls to proposed designs.
21. Proficient in managing the H&S risk of the preconstruction stage
